Crosman Corporation, an international designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a wide range of products for the shooting sports, today announced the appointment of Joseph Syring as its national sales manager. Formerly the national sales manager for new business at Crosman, Syring will now oversee all aspects of North American sales. He replaces Brad Webb, who left the company for a position with a Mississippi firm.
According to Crosman Vice President of Sales, Steve Upham, Syring comes to this new position with experience in the Crosman product lines as well as several allied fields. “Joe has been our national sales manager for new business since 2010. His knowledge and experience with our product lines, plus his background with other sales organizations has prepared him well to lead our North American sales team. Joe understands what drives our business and the reasons our customers value the Crosman brand. I’m confident he’ll continue the excellent sales momentum created by his predecessor, Brad Webb, and take us to the next level of market penetration,” said Upham.
Prior to joining Crosman in 2010, Syring was national sales manager for Eastman Outdoors, marketer of outdoor products to major US retail outlets. Subsequent to his tenure with Eastman Outdoors, he served as division manager with United States Smokeless Tobacco Company. Syring holds a BA degree in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He will be relocating to the greater Rochester area with his wife and three children, and enjoys shooting, hunting, water sports and alpine skiing.
