If you know a father who likes to camp with his kids, KOA’s offer may be just the thing for him. Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA), will offer free camping for kids under 17 this Father’s Day weekend.

“We want to encourage families to get out and enjoy all of the benefits of the outdoors, and camping is one of the very best ways to do that,” said KOA CEO Jim Rogers in a press release. “Allowing children to camp for free with their children will hopefully encourage more families to share the joys of camping on this very important family holiday.”

More than 400 KOA sites are participating in the offer. They will waive fees for children camper’s during June 15 to 17. Sites are available for tent camping, recreational vehicles, some offer cabins and deluxe cabins that sleep up to six and are equipped with full bathrooms and kitchens.

The entire list of KOA campgrounds offering free camping for kids on Father’s Day can be found at www.KOA.com.

  1. We missed out on Father’s Day camping, as we took our
vacation in July, but that is something to keep in mind for timing next
year. My family hated camping until I rented
an RV this year and it was the best trip ever as a result. When we travel, the kids fight a lot, but this year, my Dish
coworker, I took the tablet PC’s and the whole family watched TV, sometimes
through the media system too. We
streamed live and recorded TV from our Sling Adapter at home, and then just
pulled up the programming on the Dish Remote Access App. It saved us from yelling at the kids for
fighting, and entertained us when we were driving.
