OutdoorHub 06.19.12
World line-class and Missouri record holder Rick Osborn gives a blow-by-blow account of stalking and landing his record brown trout on the June episode of Ozark Trout Bum.
“Rick is an amazing storyteller, and remarkably remembers every minute of his epic battle with a huge brown,” show host Steve Brigman said.
This month also features Lori Sloas, White River guide and flyfishing instructor. She gets back to the basics of fly casting for the newest anglers, but quickly shifts into techniques to be successful on her home waters.
“Lori is just such a nice person, and fun to be around,” Brigman said. “The interview was a lot of fun, and invaluable to folks trying to learn to flat cast.
Trout Bum also features “Strategies for Success:” a how-to segment with veteran White River guide John Berry, who discusses using hoppers with a dropper for summer trout. The “Focus on Conservation” segment features fisheries biologist Kat Lackman discussing Missouri’s Stream Team program.
