The husband and wife team of Terry and Lisa Sternard of Clarksville, Tennessee bested 32 other teams on Kentucky Lake Saturday to win the Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) Angels Community Clinic Charity Tournament.
Their five-bass limit weighed in at 19.41-pounds and that was about a pound and a half more than second place finishers Mike and Lisa Johnson of Centre, Alabama who brought a limit in also, but theirs weighed in at 17.94. Third went to Hassan Maghadom and Carl Ritch whose limit weighed 17.82-pounds.
The Sternard’s also collected extra prize money because they were the highest finishing team with a woman member.
The husband wife duo was using a 10” Texas rigged worm stroking it in the grass on Kentucky Lake. They were working a bit grass flat and they kept moving working the flat working through catching the smaller fish to get to the bigger ones.
Big bass for the day went to the Texas team of Joey and Isaac Ridgle and their big bass weighed 5.37-pounds.
After the fishing and accompanying raffle was completed, LBAA representative Vickie Barlow handed $2,695 over to Sherry Crittendon. Crittendon is an APRN and Executive Director of the Angels Community Clinic, which is located at 1005 Popular Street in Murray, Kentucky.
Crittendon and LBAA pro angler Debbie Warner represented the clinic on stage. Warner is Clinical Director at the Angels Community Clinic.
