North American Hunting Club Welcomes Jeff Foxworthy

After a gentlemen’s handshake agreement at the 2012 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, the thoroughly anticipated partnership between the North American Hunting Club and Jeff Foxworthy has officially come to fruition.
“It’s an honor to have Jeff on board as our humor columnist in the magazine,” said North American Hunter Editor-in-Chief Gordy Krahn. “And of course, it only made sense for him to also join us on the digital side with a blog. Our entire team is extremely excited about this relationship, and our members are clearly thrilled to welcome Jeff to the Club.”
Foxworthy’s column, “Parting Shots,” consists of outdoor- and hunting-related anecdotes with a hilarious twist. His blog, “Head to the Truck,” focuses more on his ultimate dedication to land and wildlife stewardship; of course, there is some humor involved to lighten things up.
Foxworthy’s reputation precedes him as a stand-up comedic legend and TV personality, but he has always been an outdoorsman to the core.
“There’s no match for the feeling a person can get from being immersed in the great outdoors,” said Foxworthy. “It’s the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. To me, there’s nothing better than taking in a breath of fresh, country air, or setting my eyes on a mature whitetail—especially one I’ve grown.”
And Foxworthy has indeed been growing deer. He has proven himself not only as an avid hunter, but also as a serious land and wildlife manager. He runs a tight ship on his Georgia farm, nurturing and producing mature whitetails, abundant wild turkeys and scores of other species by carefully managing timber and food plots.
