Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail Will Be Holding a $10,000 Super Event on the Waters of the Chattahoochee River at Columbus, Georgia

The Cabela’s King Kat Tournament Trail will hold a $10,000.00 Super Event on the waters of the Chattahoochee River at Columbus, Georgia September 15, 2012.  This is the opportunity for local catfish anglers to compete for $10,000.00 in cash and prizes along with a chance to advance to the Cabela’s King Kat Classic. In this event the top 20 teams will advance to this year’s Cabela’s King Kat Classic which will be held on the Alabama River at Selma, Alabama  September 27/28/29, 2012. Also at this event a member of the Humminbird Electronics staff will be on hand to answer questions about their outstanding products.

Weigh-In Site

The tournament weigh-in will be held at the Columbus Riverfront at the corner of Bay and 11th Street in Columbus. Tournament hours are 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 4:00 PM with a 5 fish limit per team. To help preserve the sport only live fish will be weighed in and all fish will be released after the tournament. Registration

“Please note new rules on registration”.

  1. Late registration will be held the day before competition at the W.C. Bradley Building, 1002 Bay Avenue from 5-7 pm. The Captains Meeting/Seminar will follow at 7pm.
  2. There will be no meeting, late registration or boat launch the morning of the event. Anglers will be allowed to launch on tournament water at 5am tournament morning. No fishing is allowed until 6:30am.
  3. Must be a member of the King Kat Association to fish this event. A one year membership is $25.00.

Legal waters for the event will be: The Chattahoochee River from the Ernest Vandiver Causeway Bridge north to I-85.
