Ruffed Grouse Society to Host Drummer Fund Bird Dog Challenge in Michigan

The Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host a Drummer Fund Bird Dog Challenge at the Wycamp Lake Club, Wycamp Road, Levering, MI on Sunday, September 9, 2012 beginning with registration at 8 a.m.

According to Dave Lloyd the entry fee is $100 per dog — half of which is tax deductible via the Drummer Fund Foundation – and is open to all dogs including title dogs. The event is limited to two dogs per handler.

“There will be 20 single hunter/dog in each division (pointing & flushing) with two fields per division,” Lloyd said, adding that dogs may wear electric collars and beepers.

Prizes will be awarded for the top four dogs in each division.

Proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
