Video: Up-close and Personal Dolphin Encounter Off the Coast of Santa Cruz, California

Mark Peters and his crew were casting their lines about 20 miles off the coast of Santa Cruz, California and hoping to catch some nice albacore tuna. The crew was successful in their endeavor and even ended up catching something much more exciting than tun: a pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins swam up to join the men on their day out and Peters’ GoPro camera recorded it all.

Peters had his GoPro HERO2 camera protected by the company’s dive housing. He added a “torpedo” to hold the camera steady underwater.
