Indiana’s Mississinewa Lake will Honor Veterans, August 18

A program to honor all veterans will be presented at Mississinewa Lake on Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. The public is invited.
Guest speaker J.R. “Rosey” Rosencrans will deliver an inspirational message about how to overcome setbacks.
Rosencrans is a former U.S. Marine, a Vietnam veteran, retired professional firefighter, arson and fire investigator, instructor and fire prevention educator, and was appointed the 531st Point of Light by former President George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush. He has been named Firefighter of the Year for the State of Indiana, City of Anderson Man of the Year in 1981 and a Sagamore of the Wabash. Rosencrans has also received the International Association of Fire Chiefs Humanity Award and is a board member of Just Say No clubs.
The program will be held at Mississinewa Lake’s modern campground program shelter in the Miami State Recreation Area.
