Support Oregon’s Wildlife: Buy an ODFW 2013 Youth Art Calendar

Buy an ODFW 2013 Youth Art Calendar and help support Oregon’s fish and wildlife and their habitats.  Calendars are $10 each and can be ordered from ODFW or picked up at one of these ODFW offices: Bend, Central Point, Charleston, Clackamas, Corvallis, La Grande, Roseburg, Salem, Springfield and Newport. They make great gifts!

Artwork features native species identified in the Oregon Conservation Strategy as in need of help including American Martens, Sandhill Cranes, Kit Foxes and Spotted Bats. Proceeds will be used for restoration of the native habitats that are home to the state’s fish and wildlife.

A mail order form is available in the Conservation section of the ODFW website, http://www.dfw.state.or.us/conservationstrategy/index.asp

The Oregon Conservation Strategy promotes a habitat-based approach to conservation, as the most efficient way to conserve a variety of species—healthy habitats benefit fish, wildlife and people.

All artists are 17-years old or younger and their artwork was submitted to ODFW’s 2012 art contest to benefit its Habitat Conservation Stamp, which went on sale for the first time this year.

About the Habitat Conservation Stamp

Adopted by the 2011 Oregon State Legislature, the new Habitat Conservation Stamp allows Oregonians to purchase an annual stamp to benefit conservation of Oregon’s native species and habitats. Stamps sell for $40 a year and include a free ODFW Wildlife Area Parking Pass valued at $22. Proceeds are used for restoration of the native habitats that are home to the state’s fish and wildlife consistent with the Oregon Conservation and Oregon Nearshore strategies. The Habitat Conservation Stamp is available for purchase online and at ODFW license sales agents and ODFW offices that sell licenses.
