Stettmeier Takes SSP Title At New England Regional IDPA Championship

Ed Stettmeier of the Tactical Defense Solutions shooting team won seven of 12 stages and posted the fastest overall time on his way to winning the Stock Service Pistol title this past weekend at the 2012 New England Regional IDPA Championship in Harvard, Mass.

Ranked a Master level shooter in IDPA, Stettmeier not only posted the overall fastest time in the match, but also took top honors as the most accurate shooter in the competition after scoring just 21 points down. He outpaced his nearest competitor, David Dolio, by 14.56 seconds to finish with a final time of 205.88.

“Ed is one of the young up-and-coming shooters within IDPA and his outstanding performance this weekend at the New England Regional proves why he’s one to watch in our sport,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

Finishing second overall in both the match and the division was Dolio with 68 points down and a final time of 220.44 to take first Master honors. Tom Yost of the Panteao Productions shooting team finished second Master with 234.51 and 47 points down, which also eared him the event’s High Senior title.

Third Master went to Michael Masselli with 253.55 and 64 points down, while David Bold claimed fourth Master with 254.86 and 57 points down, and Hanwei Hsieh took fifth Master with 261.09 and 78 points down.
