Tips Sought in East Missoula, Montana Deer Poaching Case

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are looking for tips on a deer poaching that occurred over the weekend at the Western Montana Fish and Game Association’s Deer Creek Shooting Center in East Missoula.

FWP Game Warden, Kyle Miller, reported that a white-tailed buck deer was shot two times with a pistol on range 50B between the late evening hours of Saturday, Aug. 18 and the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 19. The deer was abandoned on site.

Wardens are analyzing evidence collected at the scene and asking anyone with information on this incident to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668) or contact Warden Miller at 406-240-3140.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.
