MidwayUSA Sponsors 13th Annual Boy Scout Sporting Clays Tournament

The past three years, MidwayUSA owners Larry and Brenda Potterfield have donated close to $15,000.00 as a corporate sponsor. Many Employees from MidwayUSA also come out and participate in the events.
“The Boy Scouts of America spend a great deal of time investing in programs that educate our youth on the importance of firearm safety and ethical hunting practices,” said founder and CEO Larry Potterfield. “Supporting our local council means helping over 10,000 Boy Scouts and Leaders keep doing what they love.”
The weekend events consist of a live auction and social gathering tonight and a three-flight shoot and luncheon tomorrow. Over 100 shooters are expected to participate in tomorrow’s tournament.
“The continued growth and success of our event has been in large part due to the generosity of our Corporate Sponsors,” said Committee Chair Russ Chambers. “MidwayUSA continues to be our most lasting and generous partners. It has been a great fit with their exceptional shooting facility at Midway Farms and support from many of their Employees who serve on our committee.”
All proceeds from this year’s events benefit the Great Rivers Council Boy Scouts, their leaders and various scouting programs throughout central Missouri.
