West Virginia’s Fishing Tournament at Tomlinson Run State Park Set for September 8

The Tomlinson Run State Park Foundation is sponsoring a fishing tournament on Saturday, September 8.  “Tournament registration will begins at noon at the Tomlinson Run boat docks for individual and paired anglers,” according to Jesse Mestrovic, assistant superintendent at this northern panhandle recreation area.

The paired category will include children 15 and younger accompanied by an adult.  Registration is free for anglers 14 and younger and $3 for adults.  First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for each category.

ORCA Outdoors, a local outfitter, is sponsoring free bait for kids. The Tomlinson Run State Park Foundation will provide food and beverages.  The tournament runs from 2 until 6 p.m.  A license is not required for nonresident or resident anglers under 15 years of age.
