The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Oklahoma State University will be holding a free quail field day at Packsaddle Wildlife Management Area on September 7th from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be many topics covered that will help inform landowners, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. Some of the topics that will be covered are quail management and what can be done on your property to help quail. Different habitat management practices such as grazing, prescribed fire, and disking will be covered and the benefits to quail habitat.
