Montana Man Injured by Bear in the Bob Marshall Wilderness

FWP has received a report of a man being injured by a bear (reportedly a black bear) this morning in the Black Bear Creek area of the Bob Marshall Wilderness south of Spotted Bear.  FWP is investigating the incident in cooperation with the U S Forest Service.  The injured man has been transported to the Kalispell Regional Hospital by ALERT helicopter.

Based on the results of the ongoing investigation, an appropriate response will be planned by FWP officials.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
