Come on Out for “Outdoor Rec Night” at Chase Field on Sept. 28

Interactive outdoor recreation street fair starts at 4 p.m.; ticket discounts available for the Diamondbacks-Cubs game

If you’re an outdoors enthusiast and a major league baseball fan, Chase Field in Phoenix is the place to be on Friday, Sept. 28.

The Arizona Diamondbacks, in partnership with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, Sportsman’s Warehouse, and sportsmen’s/conservation groups, will host the inaugural “Outdoor Rec Night” in connection with the Arizona Diamondbacks-Chicago Cubs game that evening.

Come early and learn about the great outdoors at an interactive street fair at 4th Street and Jackson, just west of the ballpark, beginning at 4 p.m. The fair will offer lots of hands-on activities, including a kids fishing tank (loaner fishing poles and bait provided), self-contained archery and airsoft ranges, an ATV track, flycasting, and more. There will also be exhibits on outdoor recreation.

As part of Outdoor Rec night, the Diamondbacks are offering special discounted ticket pricing for the game (6:40 p.m. start). Discount prices range from $16 for upper level infield reserved seating (a $2 savings) to $42 for lower level infield box seating (a $12 savings). Those ordering tickets will receive a free camouflage D-backs hat while supplies last.
