“Arizona Wildlife Views” to Debut New Season on KAET-TV

The latest season of the Arizona Wildlife Views television show with host Jim Paxon will hit the airwaves on KAET-TV, Phoenix’s PBS station, on Sunday, Sept. 23, starting at 4:30 p.m.

This Emmy award-winning series is made up of 13 new half-hour episodes highlighting the best in Arizona outdoor recreation and wildlife conservation activities.

On Sunday’s show, you’ll see the extraordinary measures biologists take to save bald eagle nestlings when their nest became infested with ticks. You’ll see some amazing video from a rare ocelot sighting in 2011 that was only the third confirmed ocelot sighting in Arizona in the last 50 years. You’ll also learn about a family of Harris’s hawks that have taken up residence in a suburban neighborhood and see fascinating video of some of their activities.

With more than 40 new stories, the 2012 season of Arizona Wildlife Views television will have something for everyone. Arizona Wildlife Views is produced by the Information Branch of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The show also airs on more than 30 city cable and local channels across the state. Check local listings for dates and times.
