Outdoors Radio Wins AGLOW awards

Outdoors Radio wins four awards at AGLOW conference

Dan Small and Jeff Kelm, co-hosts of Outdoors Radio, won four awards in the Radio Division of the 2012 Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers (www.aglowinfo.org) Awards in Craft Competition. The awards were presented by AGLOW executive director Josh Lantz at the 56th annual AGLOW conference, held Sept. 17-20 at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center in Branson, MO.

Kelm won one first place and one second-place awards:

  • 1st – Chevrolet’s Best of Open category for “Nebulus Flotation Device Saves Lives”
  • 2nd – Chevrolet’s Best of Hunting category for “21st Century Deer Management”

Small won one first-place and one second-place award:

  • 1st – Chevrolet’s Best of Hunting category for “Why Women Hunt”
  • 2nd – Chevrolet’s Best of Open category for “Pike’s Peak Challenge”

Small won an additional 12 awards in the TV, Magazine, Newspaper and Photography categories, including the coveted Pete Czura Memorial Award for Best of Show in Photography for a close-up shot of a steelhead he calls “Steelie Eye.”
