Alabama’s Online Registration for Fred T. Stimpson Youth Hunts Opens October 9

The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries is sponsoring four youth deer hunts on the Fred T. Stimpson Community Hunting Area in Clarke County this fall. The hunting area is located off of Clarke County Road 15 approximately 12 miles south of Jackson, Ala. Online registration for the hunts will begin at 8 a.m. on October 9. Seventy youth hunters will be selected for each of the four deer hunts. Youth must be under 16 years of age on the day of the hunt and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult 25 years or older, a parent or legal guardian.

Draw dates:

  • Monday, October 22, 2012
  • Monday,  November 19, 2012
  • Monday, December 3, 2012
  • Thursday, January 3, 2013

Hunt dates:

  • Saturday, November 10, 2012
  • Saturday, December 23, 2012
  • Saturday, December 14, 2012
  • Monday, January 21, 2013

Registration must be received by 8 a.m. on the draw date to be considered for that hunt.  If selected, youth will have until 5 p.m. the following day to accept the invitation. After 10 a.m. on the draw date, applicants can check their draw results online.
