Alaska Migratory Bird Co-management Council Meeting, Oct. 10-11

The Alaska Migratory Bird Co-management Council will conduct its fall meeting on October 10-11, 2012, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Chugachmuit Native Corporation Bldg., 1840 Bragaw St., Anchorage, Alaska.

The Co-Management Council, which includes Alaska Native, State, and Federal representatives as equals, was formed on March 28, 2000 by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as required by the amended migratory bird treaties with Canada and Mexico.

The purpose of the meeting is to identify any conservation concerns that may be addressed for the 2014 season. Members of the public may comment on agenda items at the beginning and end of the session. Copies of the meeting agenda will be available at the meeting.
