Team Benelli’s Kurt Miller Wins the IPSC World Shotgun Championship

Congratulations go to Team Benelli 3-Gun Shooter, KurtMiller, who took top honors winning the world championship in Senior Standard Semi-auto Division at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shotgun Championships in Debrecen, Hungary. Team Benelli teammate, Jeff Cramblit placed second, helping the US team secure 4th place over all.

Besides Miller and Cramblit, other Team Benelli members competing included Jansen Jones, who finished 14th in Standard Manual Division, and Trapr Swonson, who finished 34th in Standard Manual Division.

Completing10 days of competition, Miller, who captained the US team in his division, came in ahead of the pack using his trusted M2 3-Gun Performance Shop Edition, while Jeff Cramblit shot his custom-worked Benelli Vinci.

Some 450 shooters from 42 countries participated in the first IPSC World Shotgun Championship, which is now scheduled to occur every three years. The next IPSC World Shotgun Championship will take place in either Thailand or Russia in 2015.

“The match was very technical with a full assortment of shooting positions; floating boat, teeter-totters, sleds, trolley on rails, low ports, swingers, and no-shoots, making this first-ever, world-shoot, a true test of competitors and their gear,” Cramblit described. “With my Benelli Vinci’s fast-pointing characteristics, I was able to shoot across the 30 stages of competition with ease. It was a great match with hundreds of participants, 30 stages, and awards presented just like the Olympics.”
