Washington DFW Increase Bag Limit for Coho in the Naselle River

Action: Increase the daily bag limit for coho.

Location: Naselle River, from the Hwy. 101 Bridge to the Crown Mainline (Salme) Bridge

Effective dates: Dec. 1, 2012 through Jan. 31, 2013.

Species affected:  Salmon

Daily limits:  6 fish, up to 3 adults may be retained, of which only 2 may be wild coho. Release chum and wild chinook.  Minimum size 12”.

Reason for action:  WDFW has determined that the coho return to the Naselle River and the Naselle Hatchery is sufficient enough to meet conservation goals and hatchery egg take needs while allowing additional harvest to occur in the river.

Other information: Anglers should refer to the 2012/13 Fishing in Washington rules pamphlet for other ongoing fishing opportunities.
