MGM Targets Steps Up to Sponsor Babes With Bullets

Babes with Bullets, a women’s firearms training camp, is hosting its 8th annual Tucson camp at the Tucson Rifle Club starting Friday, November 9th through Sunday, November 11th. Led by an all-female professional shooting staff the camp teaches both novice women and those familiar with firearms, how to shoot a variety of handguns, including holster work and shooting on the move. This year the program has an added benefit of having MGM Targets,www.mgmtargets.com , step up as a sponsor with several of their nationally recognized steel products becoming a permanent part of the camp stage designs. According to Mike Gibson, owner of MGM Targets, “We are pleased to become a sponsor of Babes with Bullets. We have watched these camps grow over the last eight years and believe that women and juniors are the future of shooting sports.”
Also attending the Tucson camp will be Rhonda Gibson, an active shooting sports competitor, and co-owner of MGM Targets. Rhonda, along with three dozen (36) other women, will be guided in their firearms training by head instructor Kay Miculek. Kay is a several time national and world shooting sports champion, and leads a team of other national and world champion female instructors. Miculek is assisted by camp director, Deb Ferns. According to Ferns “the camps now have over 2,500 alumnae with campers spread in ages from 18 to 78. The women attending camps build a life skill in three days along with making new friends as they share lodging, food and time at the range.” Miculek added, “our emphasis at the Babes with Bullets camp is to prove that shooting is a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding sport for women. With sponsors like MGM providing targets along with Smith & Wesson providing the guns the campers can try the product before they buy!”
The Tucson camp is sold out however the Babes with Bullets training webisodes, taped at camp, are available at www.OutdoorChannel.com/BabeswithBullets. A new webisode, scheduled to be taped at the upcoming Tucson camp, will highlight MGM Targets and show the campers learning how to shoot reactive steel targets.
