Longworth Industries, Inc. , parent company of XGO, Polarmax, and AYG 365 Baselayers, has recently made a product donation of over $20,000 to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort through the Humanitarian International Services Group (HISG). The donations, ranging from baselayer crews, zipmocks, and pants will be distributed throughout the Northeast to victims of the storm.
“Our hearts and prayers are with the people who endured the wrath of Hurricane Sandy.” said Longworth President & CEO, Randy Black. “We are happy that we can support the Humanitarian International Services Group and their efforts to bring assistance to those in need during this very difficult time.”
Longworth encourages its customers to also make their own donations on the HISG website. HISG has been working with several assessment teams on the East Coast to address the needs of those victims displaced by Sandy.
This is not the first time Longworth Industries has made donations in order to support humanitarian efforts. In 2011, the company created over 500 blankets to be donated to Japanese Earthquake victims. Longworth also made donations in 2010 to the Haitian Earthquake effort and in 2005 to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
