Female Mountain Lion Hunting Closed in Montana’s Districts 339, 343, & 338

The hunting of all female mountain lions in southwestern Montana hunting districts 339, 343, and 388 which includes portions of Lewis and Clark and Jefferson counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, December 24, 2012.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts combined had been met.
