Polar Bottle Supports Ocean Preservation with Latest Line of Benefit Bottles

As part of an ongoing effort to foster sustainability by supporting local and national conservation groups, Polar Bottle has partnered with the Boulder, Colorado-based preservation group, Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS), to launch a new line of custom benefit bottles.

OPS, which gained international recognition with their Academy Award winning documentary The Cove, is a non-profit organization that uses film, photography and media to inspire people to save the oceans.

The 24-ounce OPS Benefit Bottle will be sold exclusively on the Polar Bottle website www.polarbottle.com for $14.99, with $5 donated directly to OPS to support conservation and preservation efforts.

“We are always looking for ways to connect with local organizations advocating for the causes we care about,” said Polar Bottle president Judy Amabile. “As a company, we are committed to sustainability and environmental-conservation and protecting our oceans is such an important part of that mission.”

Every year 30,000 species are lost across the globe. OPS is inspiring people to upgrade their lifestyles and shift to clean energy sources in order to prevent a mass species extinction and protect our oceans. They are doing this through another cinematic documentary film, a global communication and activation campaign, as well as a rich educational program.

“This time we are not just trying to make a movie, we’re trying to start a movement,” says OPS Executive Director Louie Psihoyos. “We have a moral obligation to save these species, because we’re responsible for them blinking out.”

The patented Polar Bottle water bottle features an insulating layer between two walls of plastic, so it keeps liquids cool twice as long as other water bottles. The Made in America bottle fits standard bike water bottle cages and features a convenient, removable carrying strap. All Polar Bottle products are, and always have been, BPA-free and Phthalate-free.
