MidwayUSA Again Presenting Sponsor of RMEF’s Elk Camp

MidwayUSA reconfirmed its long-standing commitment to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation as a partner in conservation and hunting by stepping up as the presenting sponsor of Elk Camp 2013.

“We are grateful for our strong ties with Larry and Brenda Potterfield and MidwayUSA,” said David Allen, RMEF president and CEO. “Their continuing support and sponsorship allow us to have greater success in our conservation efforts and in passing our hunting heritage to the next generation.”

“The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation plays a vital role in effective conservation so our children and grandchildren can continue to enjoy hunting and shooting sports,” said Larry Potterfield, founder and CEO of MidwayUSA. “As fellow hunters and conservationists, Brenda and I believe it’s our duty to support the mission of organizations like RMEF.”

MidwayUSA also sponsors the Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience scheduled for Friday, March 1. Hundreds of Nevada youth are expected to participate in a variety of activities that encourage them to expand their knowledge of wildlife conservation and increase their enthusiasm for the outdoors.

The following day at 10 a.m., Larry Potterfield will walk the Elk Camp show floor and take part in a “meet and greet” at the RMEF Rifle Raffle booth.

In addition to being Elk Camp’s presenting sponsor, MidwayUSA also sponsors the Grand Banquet on Saturday night with entertainment by the Charlie Daniels Band, is presenting sponsor of RMEF’s television show, Team Elk, and is a major contributor of the RMEF Shooting Access for Everyone (SAFE) program. MidwayUSA and the Potterfield family also partner with RMEF to generate endowed gifts to local shooting teams across the country through the Scholastic Shooting Trust Fund.

“We can’t say enough about the never-ending, dedicated efforts of the Potterfields and MidwayUSA,” added Allen. “They continue to give their time, passion and financial resources. We so appreciate their generosity and commitment, and are so proud to call them our friends.”

Elk Camp, RMEF’s annual convention, is scheduled for February 28-March 3 at the Mirage and Las Vegas Convention Center. It helps raise awareness of elk, habitat and the conservation initiatives of RMEF. For a list of the scheduled activities, entertainment and registration information, log onĀ here.
