ACUI Announces Industry Sponsors

The Association of College Unions International has announced the industry sponsors for the Clay Target Collegiate Shotgun Bowl Series for the 2013-2014 shooting year. Returning sponsors and industry partners are Larry and Brenda Potterfield, MidwayUSA, MidwayUSA Foundation- Scholastic Shooting Trust, National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation- Scholastic Clay Target Program, National 4-H Shooting Sports, Amateur Trapshooting Association, National Sporting Clay Association, National Skeet Shooting Association, National Shooting Center, USA Shooting, United States Army Marksmanship Unit , Winchester Ammunition, DryFire USA, Promatic, Shooting Sports Consulting, Gamaliel Shooting Supply, Trainer Hale Supply, Gold Medal Shooting Academy, Clay Shooters Supply, and Jr Shooters Magazine.
In addition, ACUI welcomes the following new sponsors Freedom Group- Remington, ATK-Federal, Brad Albeck Adventures, Negrini Gun Cases, Bond Arms, Beretta USA, Friends of the NRA, Texas State Rifle Association, Frontera Wingshooting, and Texas State Rifle Association Foundation.
A group of parents and supports from the Brazos County 4-H Club and Texas A&M University joined together to fund $2,000 of direct scholarships money to the college shooters at the 2013 ACUI Clay Target Collegiate Championships March 26-27, 2013. The $500 scholarships funded by this group are HOA International Men, HOA International Woman, Top International Skeet Woman and top International Skeet Man. These groups of college shotgun supporters plan to make this an annual commitment and challenge other alumni from other institutions to do the same.
ACUI has organized the collegiate clay target championships for 45 years. The Clay Target Collegiate Shotgun Bowl Series was created to provide additional opportunities for competition closer to participating campuses, thereby allowing full team roster participation.
