New England Regional IDPA Championship in Massachusetts Picks Up Smith & Wesson as Title Sponsor

Organizers of the New England Regional IDPA Championship announced that Smith & Wesson, the 161-year-old legendary firearms maker that calls Springfield, Massachusetts home, will be the title sponsor of this year’s championship.
The 2013 Smith & Wesson New England Regional IDPA Championship will take place August 16-18 at the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club in Harvard, Mass. The MetroWest Tactical IDPA club will again host the event which is among the region’s largest defensive pistol shooting competitions.
“Smith & Wesson once again proves how important it views the shooting sports with their generous support for the 2013 New England Regional,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director for IDPA. “IDPA is extremely grateful to Smith & Wesson for their continued sponsorship of major IDPA matches both in New England and around the country.”
“Smith & Wesson is pleased to once again support the New England Regional and especially this year as the main title sponsor of the match,” said Paul Pluff of Smith & Wesson. “Smith & Wesson has a long tradition of supporting the shooting sports and we’re particularly proud to be a leader in that effort in our own backyard right here in New England.”
The 2013 Smith & Wesson New England Regional IDPA Championship is expected draw upwards of 160 of the region’s top shooters. Registration for the event is not yet open but match officials expect to make that announcement shortly.
