Jason Evans, Taylor Nahrgang Join Weatherby

Weatherby, Inc. welcomes Jason Evans as vice president of sales and product development, and Taylor Nahrgang as marketing, special projects coordinator.

Evans oversees Weatherby’s sales programs, working closely with rep groups and key accounts.  He also leads product development initiatives with a strategic focus on serving the wants and needs of Weatherby customers, as well as new markets.

A 20-year industry veteran, Evans helped Benelli USA grow for the past 12 years as product manager, vice president of commercial sales, vice president of sales and vice president of product development.  Earlier in his career, he worked as a district manager for Smith & Wesson and as an independent sales representative.  Evans’ industry exposure and career direction came early in life while working for his father, Doug Evans, at Magnum Research Inc. in Minneapolis, Minn.

In his new position, Nahrgang is responsible for research/survey projects as well as Internet and social media marketing/communications.  He also manages special events including Team Weatherby appearances and related activities.  In addition, he provides marketing support for western and equine events and promotions, including those associated with the National High School Rodeo Association and Professional Bull Riders.  Nahrgang is an active Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association athlete and former National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association World Champion steer wrestler.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/marketing from the University of Montana Western.

Evans and Nahrgang are avid hunters, shooters and outdoor enthusiasts.  They are based in Weatherby’s offices in Paso Robles, Calif.
