Baron and NWTF’s 16th Annual Northeast Sporting Clays Championship in New York

On Sunday, June 30, 2013, Baron Technology, Inc. presents the 16th Annual Northeast Sporting Clays Championship at the Mid-County Rod & Gun Club (midcountygunclub.com) in LaGrangeville, New York. This event is in conjunction with the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), which holds 4 Regional Shoots each year that lead up to its National Shoot Event. This event will benefit NWTF’s Wheelin’ Sportsmen, which creates outdoor opportunities for people with disabilities.

There will be more than $5,000 in prizes given away at the shoot!

New Event for this year!

Sport Shooting 101 is geared for the beginner and novice shooters who want to learn about all of the different events within shotgun shooting, (but without the pressure). Ammunition is provided and experienced staff will be on hand to provide training and tips. This new event will feature Skeet, Trap, 5-Stand and Sporting Clays stands!

Our Regular Sporting Clays Event!

The event is a 100 Clay Targets scored by Lewis Class, and has the following classes: A, B, C and D. There are concurrent prizes for ladies, veterans, super-veterans and juniors.

Entry Fee is $90 for pre-registered shooters and $100 for walk-ins; $600 for a corporate team of five, which includes station sponsorship, and every junior who is 18 or under shoots for free, if accompanied by a paying adult. That’s a great deal for introducing youngsters to clay shooting. There is a $6 additional charge to register targets with the National Sporting Clays Association. And, a couple of options are available: High Score in Class: $10; High Overall, $10.

The time schedule is: registration, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.; squadded start 10 a.m.; lunch, 1:30 p.m. and award ceremony at 2:30 p.m. The gourmet lunch is served from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and a silent auction will run during lunch.

Baron Technology, Inc. president David Baron says,

“Baron Technology is proud to be involved with this great program again this year! There is nothing more important than introducing newcomers to the shooting sports! Every opportunity to promote shooting as a great family event needs to be exercised! As an incentive to get more kids involved in the shooting sports, Baron will again pay the entrance fee of anyone who brings a youngster with them, 18 or under. That youth can shoot in either the intro event or the Sporting Clays events for free, when accompanied by a registered adult. We do ask that only experienced juniors enter into the Sporting Clays event.”
