MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup Celebrates 35 Successful Years in Missouri

A record 268 competitors attended this year’s 35th Annual MidwayUSA & Bianchi Cup, the richest and most prestigious shooting tournament in the world. Held May 22-25 outside Columbia, Missouri, more than 50 firearms and $250,000 were awarded to the tournament’s top shooters.
“The NRA’s continued partnership with MidwayUSA has allowed the Bianchi Cup to flourish through attracting the world’s top pistol shooters,” said Dennis Willing, Director of NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division. “We are excited to build upon the tournament’s success each year to maintain its status as a world-renowned pistol championship.”
Founded in 1979 by former police officer and holster maker John Bianchi, the MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup is a 1920-point aggregate match that attracts the world’s best pistols shooters. This year’s championship drew competitors from Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand and the United States. Bianchi Cup competition features Open, Metallic and Production divisions, classified by the number of modifications competitors may make to their firearms to increase speed and accuracy.
