Video: Suburban Deer Fight

A Canadian man in Nanaimo, British Columbia captured video of these two bucks ferociously duking it out in a driveway. The two bucks were so focused on each other that they barely noticed the cameraman—or the rest of the neighborhood. Nanaimo is not usually the place to find an impromptu deer duel, but officials say that the animals enter town because residents have been feeding them. It is against city bylaws to feed deer, which causes them to lose their fear of humans and stick around. The presence of deer naturally lures in predators, and earlier this year conservation officers trapped and killed a mountain lion prowling too close a Nanaimo neighborhood.
