Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, recently received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Outdoor Channel. This award, given exclusively to individuals who have made a significant impact on the Shooting Sports industry, was presented to Larry by Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s Executive Director of Legislative affairs at the Golden Moose Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“The vision at MidwayUSA is to be the best run, most respected business in America, for the benefit of our Customers,” said Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA. “And it’s not something that we hide in some obscure desk, it’s what we post on the walls and what we live and breathe every day. To be the best run business in America, the best run most respected business in America for the benefit of our customers. And if we didn’t do that, we certainly wouldn’t be here. We practice 9, what we call, traditional family values that bind us all together. Honesty, Integrity, Humility, Respect for others, Teamwork, Positive Attitude, Accountability, Stewardship and Loyalty. So those are the things we hire by, those are the things we promote by, those are the things we live by. They’re non-negotiable values that make the MidwayUSA company run.”
Larry’s lifetime achievement award was earned by the creation and execution of numerous programs that have, and continue to make a dramatic impact on the 2nd Amendment and youth sporting activities.
