Backcountry Hunters & Anglers to Host 3rd Annual Rendezvous

In celebration of 10 years of backcountry conservation work, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) will host its 3rd Annual Rendezvous March 21-22nd at the Red Lion Inn in Southeast Denver, Colorado. This two-day event will feature vendor booths, gear demos, exclusive hunting and fishing seminars, auctions, raffles, food and drink, the first annual “parade of tents” and a keynote address from renowned Field & Stream writer, Hal Herring.
The event is open to the public and begins on Friday at 4 pm with the opening reception and the opening of vendor booths. The “Backcountry Bash” will begin at 7pm and will include door prizes, a welcome address from BHA’s Executive Director, beer, food, live bluegrass music from ‘Simpler Times,’ demos of the latest backcountry gear, and vendor booths by outdoor industry leaders including First Lite, Kifaru, Tenkara, and more. There will also be a gun raffle sponsored by Kimber. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family.
Starting at 9am on Saturday, Rendezvous attendees will have another opportunity to check out the latest in hunting and angling gear at vendor booths.Experts in the field will present a series of workshops and seminars on topics such as: public land mule deer hunting tips, packing lightly, gun dog how-to’s, backcountry survival skills and more. Attendees can tour a display of the latest backcountry shelters in the “Parade of Tents.” All of the tents will be auctioned off on Saturday night. The event will also feature engaging panel discussions on topics including “Technology and Hunting”, “Women in Hunting”, and more.
The event concludes Saturday night with a dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, public premiere viewing of the Twisted Stave’s latest video, and a keynote address from conservation writer Hal Herring. Thanks to generous sponsors, auction items run from knives, to tents, stoves and guided hunting and fishing trips.

Founded around an eastern Oregon campfire in 2004, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers has grown by leaps and bounds over the past decade. With chapters in 14 states and one in British Columbia, the group seeks to ensure North America’s outdoor heritage of hunting and fishing in a natural setting through education, and acts as the Sportsmen’s voice for wild public lands, water and wildlife. BHA prides itself on its “boots on the ground” mentality and the ability of its membership to get things done.
Ticket prices range from $20 for the “Backcountry Bash” to $130 for the entire weekend, which includes entry to all seminars, two dinners, a Saturday lunch, and specialty BHA merchandise.
