Lake Superior is seeing the largest ice cover in decades and anglers are eager to take advantage of its crystal clear surface. JigheadsTV’s Jason Greatsinger was one of them, and recently uploaded a video to YouTube where he catches an impressively-sized lake trout with Jeremy Rydberg. Nearly 20 miles out on the ice, both men make no attempt to hold back their excitement as Greatsinger draws the fish out of the water.

“Pretty much the whole lake is frozen and we have just caught an absolute monster,” Greatsinger said in the video.

The trout was then released back into the lake —after some pictures of course.
