Video: Anglers “Catch” a Whale of a Fish

If the sport of airfishing was real, these anglers would undoubtedly have a new world record. In this video uploaded last year by Kevin Egan, several anglers fishing near Langara Island in the Pacific Ocean run across this playful humpback whale. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, one of the fishermen does his best at imitating what reeling this magnificent animal might seem like.

“We were just baiting up and hadn’t even dropped the gear down when all of a sudden this majestic creature popped up to say hello,” stated the video’s description. “Spy hopping, rolling, waving flippers. Came and stayed for an hour…and we were to mesmerized to fish. What a once in a lifetime experience!”
