Video: Buck Wants to Fight French Bulldog

This young buck from Wellington, Nova Scotia is not about to take any guff, even if it’s from a French bulldog a fraction of its size. Jamie-Rae Fifield posted this video on YouTube of what appears to be a buck attempting to spar with her dog. The challenge was quickly accepted and Ellie-Mae—the three-year-old bulldog—literally ran circles around the deer as it attempted to lock antlers. The bulldog’s superior speed and maneuverability were eventually too much for the buck, and it was chased off back into the forest.
While the video may be humorous, it must be noted that letting pets play with wildlife can be a bad idea. A quick stomp of the hooves could have proved fatal for this spirited canine, and the deer could also have injured nearby bystanders as well.
