Video: Mad Wood Grouse Ferociously Attacks Young Skier

In this video, what appears to be a capercaillie—or wood grouse—is intent on attacking a young skier in the Norwegian backcountry, and continues to be aggressive even after the adults push the bird away. Wood grouses are known for their elaborate rituals during mating season, as well as their heightened aggression. It just goes to show that you shouldn’t let your guard down even around seemingly harmless animals.

They sure wouldn’t mind taking a few pecks out of you.
