Video: Serbian Angler Straps Stove to Back to Stay Warm

If you want to stay warm in the winter, why not carry a stove on your back?
To these Serbian anglers, that’s not just a joke. According to the In Serbia News, Jovan Stojanovic first got the idea for this strange getup when he saw anglers in South Morava freezing, and decided that there had to be a better way to keep warm. While other fishermen might have invested in a shelter, portable heating devices, or even something as small as handwarmers, Stojanovic decided to take another approach.
“You fire up a stove, put it on your back, warm your spine and there is no winter for you,” the angler said.
As ludicrous as it sounds, Stojanovic actually appropriated a stove and strapped it to his back with only a thin sheet of cardboard as a heat shield. The angler says the stove actually keeps him quite warm, but we’re going to assume that it is probably uncomfortable and dangerous as well. At least if he does catch a fish, he’ll have a place to cook it.
