Video: Great White Shark Stalks Surfer

This video was recorded off Manly Beach in Sydney Australia. Manly Beach is a common place for shark sightings, but they are rarely as long or dangerous as this encounter.
The great white shark in this video had been circling the surfer for several minutes before he got out his GoPro to start recording. Shark behavior like this is not uncommon. Great whites frequently observe their prey before going in for a strike.
The amazing calm of this surfer likely prevented this from turning into a much more dangerous situation. The video did leave us with one question: where are the waves he was supposed to be surfing?
