Dangerous game hunting is called dangerous for a reason.
This hunting film from the 1950s shows two lion hunters in extremely close range of a lion. The hunters continue to approach the lion with guns drawn, but they wait to fire until the lion charges. That delay just was enough time for the lion to bite the hunter’s arm.
Even after the lion was killed, its jaws were still clenched on the hunter’s arm, making this one of the closest calls we’ve seen in a hunting video.
