Larry Vickers is well-known for his slow-motion gun videos, but this footage of a cutaway 1911 firing might be his best yet.

This unique view of a 1911 was made possible by the gunsmiths at Wilson Combat. They expertly sliced away slide and frame material so that the extraction and feeding process could be viewed without altering the performance of the gun.
