Doctor Demonstrates How to Remove Arrow from Patient’s Hand (Graphic)

This video is every archer’s worst nightmare.

According to the video description by theedexitvideo, this footage is a result of an archer’s arrow sliding off the release and impaling their wrist. The injured archer was using a bow with a 70-pound draw when this happened, so there was a significant amount of energy behind the arrow.

In order to remove the arrow without causing further injury, the physician cut the aluminum arrow shaft. This reduced the length of arrow that needed to be pulled back through the injured archer’s hand. Amazingly, the patient suffered no broken bones or other serious injuries from this terrifying accident.
