Video: Shooting a Custom, Full-auto AKM Made by Definitive Arms

Yesterday the Military Arms Channel (MAC) published a video on Definitive Arms’ “distressed,” select-fire AKM that’s just too cool to not share.

As Tim from MAC and Chase from Definitive explain in the video, the rifle was built using a Polish AKM kit to roughly the same specs as the company’s DAKM production rifles but features a custom finish.

I shot this gun at the fall Big 3 East event and it was one of the most impressive custom firearms I’ve ever had my hands on. Check out the entire informative video below. If you’re interested in learning more about how Definitive Arms builds their AKs, read my article on a private build class I attended with them here.

I've been a history and gun enthusiast since I was a kid. I love to shoot just about anything, from silenced bolt-action .22s to fully automatic heavy machine guns, and I love even more when I get to write about them. My main interests are modern small arms and the military small arms of World War II and prior conflicts, with a particular focus on Russian and Finnish firearms. Reading about guns like the Mosin-Nagant rifle in books and on the internet got me interested in collecting, shooting, and writing about them, and I hope to do the same for others through my work.
