Photos: Ultra-rare Commemorative Desert Storm Glock

This is one of the most interesting commemorative pistols we’ve seen in a while.
Only one thousand of these Glock 17 pistols were made to commemorate Operation Desert Storm. Most of the pistols were gifted to dignitaries like George Bush, Norman Schwartzkopf, Colin Powell, and Dick Cheney. Some of them made it into civilian hands which is why we have this very interesting photo gallery.
As we’re sure you noticed the gun is marked with “New World Order” on the slide. This is a reference to a speech made by then-president George Bush in which he hoped that a “new world order” would bring justice and prosperity to all people of the world. The term did not necessarily have the same ominous meaning in 1990 that it does today.
