Video: Massive Elk Tangled in Wire Freed by Wildlife Officials

Elk often spar with each other by knocking antlers, which can sometimes result in injuries to the animals. In this particular incident, a man-made object caused the death of elk and not an antler.

The two elk in the video were locked together after wire, most likely from a fence, became tangled in their antlers. Unable to free themselves, the two animals probably continued to fight until one of them died either from injuries sustained during the clash or from sheer exhaustion.

Luckily one of the elk was able to escape with its life after wildlife officials were able to remove the wire binding them.

Incredible video of two massive bull elk locked up and tangled in wire.
