Video: The Legendary Oregon Elk Train

Elk herds range from small groups to large, lumbering communities. If you happen to live near an area with a lot of elk, you may be lucky enough to witness a line of these animals on the move. This video was shot just outside of La Grande in northeastern Oregon and shows off one of the region’s legendary elk trains.

Sure, they might not need tracks to get where they’re going, but if one of these crosses the road, you’re still going to be sitting in your car for a while.

For those who can’t get enough of this iconic animal, that might not be such a bad thing.
