At least three people were injured when a wild leopard entered a school in Bangalore, India on Sunday. According to CNN, the leopard attacked the three men near the private school’s swimming pool, where game officials had the animal cornered and shot it with tranquilizer darts.
“It was a long struggle to capture the leopard. Although it was injected with tranquilizers it could be captured only around 20.15 local time when the medication took full effect,” senior police official S. Boralingaiah told the BBC.
The leopard has since been relocated to a national park while two of the victims, including a scientist and forestry official, have been released from the hospital. A third victim is still recovering.
All in all, it makes us thankful that leopard attacks are a rare occurrence in North America. Video may be graphic to some viewers.
